Have a wonderful birthday and congratulations on making it this far!!

To clarify: the opera at the matinee is not inferior to any of the other nights it is performed. But  the mood is usually ruined. Example, some people leaving early, stumbling across everyones laps in the dark and then opening doors to the outside and letting daylight into the darkened theater while the Opera is still going on. Get the idea? Ambience is inferior to other performances.

We’re going to the Brasserie and Wine Cellar for a not yet quite Gary’s 50th birthday, I didn’t think I would make it this far [Marie can’t wait since she just came back from a facial with Tina at SkinVital looking 10 years younger] and in anticipation of the spectacular portrait by master painter Sebastian Capella [Marie can’t wait to be immortalized younger by 10 years or more] dinner celebration with Sebastian and Margarita, Devin Standard, David Janeczko, Michael Grant, Terrance Howard, Dr. John K. Pollard, Adam and Julia, A and Alicia, Tefo and Company [now it could get expensive] Danielle, Ryan and JoNathan, bcc list as our guests if they RSVP before the 20th and then as far as the matinee I would not want to see inferior opera this being our first.

Hi Gary, we talked about this opera awhile ago and it is coming up. I am going opening night (Saturday-March 25? and again for the matinee on Sunday April 2-always inferior for various reasons). If you and Marie get tickets  I will drive (sorry Pepito) and we can make it as much of an event as you want or not.

Check out www.sdopera.com for details. It will be fabulous.

Anne, your opera maverick and maven. Carmen is a wonderful opera. I can lend you a cd.

Don't you have a birthday coming up? 48 years on earth?
