By the way,
Dumela if you directly translate it means "agree" and there is a
story behind greeting people and saying "agree" and I still have to
verify it's validity. Apparently, back in Lesotho (when Moshoeshoe 1 was still
king) there used to be a lot of cannibalism and people used to live mainly in
caves in the mountains and in order to verify that the person who is enetring
their cave or a person they can't see clearly in the dark they would say
"dumela" meaning "agree that you are human" OR "agree
that you are not a cannibal".
Quite
appropriate in this day and age where cannibals are under all sorts of
disguise. It being more difficult day by day to filter out the
"man-eaters" from the real peaceful and loving human beings, agree?
