Rebuttal to The BS patrol

The Fish Rots From The Head Down

Deputy Mayor Jerry Finnell and Council Member Crystal Crawford while doing quite the hatchet job going after Del Mar resident Bernard Schroeder first referring to him as a “self appointed watchdog to ferret out waste and abuse in local government” [sic] reprimanding him for not “taking the time to participate in, or even to observe, the publicly noticed hearings and workshops conducted to obtain the public’s agreement regarding expenditures for services, blah blah” [sic] failed, however, to mention that there was another resident who participated in the July 19th workshop, yours truly, a “risk assessment” specialist asking the very simple question of whether the consultant hired by the Del Mar City Council who apparently supported a tax increase to pay for BS services such as over priced consultant fees had in fact conducted a “risk assessment” to determine what impact the new real estate tax might have on a possible real estate market collapse.

So revealing of the ineptness of this City Council was the fact the mayor at the time, Mr. Richard Earnest, encouraged by another rather tired looking council member not to respond to my question, ended up answering ever so arrogantly “No!” without even taking a deep breath to question more precisely what I meant by “risk assessment”, does the expression, Fools Faces, Fools Names, in Public places ring a bell?

Risk assessment is my business.
