Subject: Truth, that which does not change.
What
will we think up next to distract us from asking the important questions of the
day like what will happen to property prices here in Del Mar at the bottom end
of the totem pole should the Federal Government cut off come January 1st
2005 the 800,000 acre feet of water representing some 20% of our water needs
that actually belongs to the other lower basin states whose thirst for water is
no different to ours?
Then
again we can have Hershell Price our representative at
the San Diego Water Authority doing a pitiful job of distracting folks from the
important issues of the day give us once again his assessment of what will take
place when smart Del Martians realize that the recently installed cameras to
catch red light offenders has nothing to do with saving life and limb but in
grabbing those increasingly less distracted motorists’ dollars, gifts to
politicians to curry favors with those getting them elected in the first place
simply empower the next smart generation increasingly up to speed thanks to light
speed of The Internet, unburdened by the “funny games” of our
“bought and paid 4” [sic] if anything but democratically elected
leaders, knowing without having to go to law school how to ask “leading
questions” ultimately leading to while there will be less patrol officers
on the beat sending a message to all who violate the laws of the land, a
withdrawal of these costly cameras as the economics simply won’t justify
their maintenance over time, let alone the cost of installation in each of our
backyards?
What
goes around comes around with a vengeance.
Truth
that which does not change.
Risk
Assessment is my business.
