Subject: ...CITY HALL....lease - Seacrest...

Furthermore, my wife and I think you should read carefully the recent “back and forth” between Valerie and myself, bearing in mind I KNOW versus BELIEVE Valerie, the former owner of Seacrest, is “genuine” and so when she says you are “genuine” I am SIGNIFICANTLY comforted.

With that said Marie and I are very much, RIGHT NOW, on “your team” as we want tenants living at Seacrest who know how to operate a successful cafι.

With that said, we believe you CAN be very successful just operating a cafι YEAR ROUND without a liquor license IF you truly know how to run a successful food operation which is SIGNIFICANTLY different to running a bar.

With that said, IF you think you can run a successful food operation ONLY if you have a liquor license then you BETTER MAKE CERTAIN you have both the financial resources and a VERY GOOD attorney BACKED UP by a powerhouse law firm like Risdonhosegood BECAUSE the way I read things is that you are going to be up against “City Hall”, i.e. I am quite certain the neighbors around Seacrest ARE ALREADY preparing the “ground work” to fight you every step of the way should you decide to go for a liquor license.

Now is the time for you to think very carefully about signing the lease with us BACKED UP by more than a very good Risdonhosegood attorney, not to mention I am not the only member of my immediate family who uses Risdonhosegood.

While the “talk of the town” is that you are getting “cheap rent” THE FACT is that everyone I know in Minehead with a “nickel to their name” is trying to purchase Seacrest “on the cheap” AND THAT WILL NOT HAPPEN.

In other words my take on all the “talk of the town” is that you are being viewed as an outsider trying to “steal Seacrest” and “how dare you” interfere with all the years of work the not-so-neighborly folk have “invested” in making it all but impossible for anyone other than those they “hand pick” to get their “shot at the brass ring”, thinking in the end that my wife and I wont be able “to go the distance

So now that you know I have my “informers” as well as lawyers all “lined up” why don’t you just tell me what you think is going on beginning with explaining to me in simple English why is our one neighbor Mike putting together a petition to stop the new owners of long time restaurant-bar down the street from Seacrest, some equidistant from your Red Lion, from getting a liquor license.

Best regards,

Gary
