If that is the sentiment that Derrick got from your email, than you need to write it in a manner that will not put him on the defensive. Instead of asking him and Jonathan to prove how they "stop our guilt for our privileged lifestyle", offer the idea of CWF as a the most worthy of causes and justify that statement with facts. Remember that reality is 9/10 perception, so whether you literally asked them to discuss how they give back or not, that is the sentiment that Derrick and possibly Jonathan took from it, which really leaves them with no other option but to react the way that Derrick has. If you put someone on the defensive by accusing them than you are almost guaranteed to get an emotional response.

Just my two cents

Tefo, since db brought up your name perhaps u might shine more light on this all important subject matter that has “sum” [sic] “alienated” from me, i.e. consider communicating via email with Derrick your viewpoints as I prepare a follow up to my Codiam Inc. cousins on 47th Street, perhaps u r not as handcuffed with family ties tied in to your pocket book capable of thinking rather logically but of course u have not been in the same bracket financially, which may make u think better or worse?

Gary

Ps – If a diamond was not GIA [Gemological Institute of America] certified would the round D IF 1 carat perfectly cut diamond be as expensive as our pal Martin Rappaport suggests?

Gary I am not going to get into a debate with you verbally or on the

internet and I will tell my uncle the same. You are wrong in what you write

and it is not up to me or my family to justify to you what charities or what

we do to stop our guilt for our privelaged lifestyle. The purpose of this

communique is to say I commiserate with you for your misery and hope you get

what you want out of life. db
