Hi Gary,

Well, I read the whole thing, and it was quite interesting reading, I must say. I don’t know that I have any particular insight; I never met Gaudet. He certainly seems like he’s quite evasive.  His testimony reminded me of Enron; he didn’t know nothing which is rather hard to believe.  And he certainly has a terrible memory, doesn’t he?

What stuck out to me is that when Jeff was asking him about returns and shipping to make the quarter; this was stuff that we at all knew; by that I mean it was common knowledge (or consistently rumored)  around the company that we were shipping stuff to make the quarter, including products that sales knew would be returned.  I don’t know if you’ve seen any marketing calendars from around that time, but there were frequently programs for new products thrown in that had to be developed quickly in order for us “to make our numbers”.  It was also “common knowledge” that there was a growing inventory glut in the field that was problematic.  Apparently nothing was done about that until the bottom fell out and there was no choice but to fess up.

If there are any passages in particular you want me to look at, let me know.  I’ll be traveling the next couple of days, but I can maybe look more closely over the weekend.

Regards…

Have you yet had a chance to review?

Tell me what you think of this Zquestion which I put to Albert Einstein. Don’t pull any punches. My plan is to have everyone give their input so that we can all get on the same wavelength, i.e. it has to reach the lowest common denominator.

Hi Gary,

I”ll look at this tonight.  I can only open  the word document.  What’s the other one?

How’s everything going?  Hope your holidays are going well.  By the way, I didn’t come to sunny CA in November; will probably be in northern CA in mid Jan.  If I go south too, I’ll let you know…

Natalie, attached is Jeffrey Krinsk’s deposition of Mr. Goodday. Let me know if anything there strikes a cord which could ring more bells in their heads?
