That struggle will soon end.

While you wait for me to provide you with more of the "structure" of The DAAC go back and read what I wrote about my "second mother" and you will see Chris and those that came before her on the island of Samos including its famous man more so than ever and think about using part of the monies to buy you and your dad a dog to help guide you through the day and night, always thinking "big and small" and its okay to talk to your dad about your most important assignment that will inevitably change the world forever.

Yes, I do remember: "death doesn't make a winter but it can chill a summer."

The chill is indeed inside me, winter or summer.  A real struggle each day.

I wish you happy 2006.  Love, annie

Happy New Year

Do you remember neils blank verse something along the lines

A death cannot something a winter but chills a summer?

The answer is “yes” to renting a room and to charge them only what they can afford which is not to prevent them from contributing SIGNIFICANTLY to our “social cause” while letting them know we might have them joined by someone else, possibly Annie who might decide before going back to Spain upon the completion and initial distribution of the DAAC book, i.e. once it is on track to outsell the bible, drop by and check things out.

Good things happen to good people, never to be afraid of illness let alone death unless of course one has not pulled out all stops to do the right thing and the smart thing which is also the right thing.

Love,

Gary

Dear Gary

Happy New Year 2 u 2

I have just come up to esher today to collect mother & bring her back with me for a week at seacrest, I do indeed have your bros poetry book but it is there I will email you exact words tommorrow i promise.

I brought the laptop with me to email you, sorry i didnt check emails yesterday, then you would have words now.

Wanted to give you an update, someone is coming to veiw crest next saterday, I have my mother helping me this week, will be open thursday to monday, I then have to close till mid march, I really just need the time to sort out mum, her house & catch up on all i havnt done while being in somerset, I dont like closing cafe as still regulars are coming in, although i am sure they will return when reopens.

This is completely unplanned but just had a call from Ed, next door but one to cafe who worked for me in the summer, then went to sa to work for jason but got threatened at knifepoint about an hour after arriving in cape town & came back 1 day later! Anyway he phoned to ask if any chance he & girlfriend could rent a room for couple of months while they save for a flat? So i said i would ask you, let me know what you think, he is trustworthy but i guess they dont want or cant pay much, hes parents live 2 doors away, his mum also worked for me & is very honest, decent etc.It would be only a couple months & i would still go down & check up on them, he was very good when he worked for me is all i can say, just let me know what you think, I think having someone living there is good & if he did anything out of order he would be out on his ear, but it is up to you.

I will email you with poem as soon as back, book is actually in kitchen was reading it again yesterday, its great.

Hope you & Marie have the best ever year ahead.

Thank you for everything

Valerie

Happy New Year

If you have my eldest brothers poetry book I would like you to look up his one blank verse that talks to a “Winter’s chill” and send me the exact words.

Love
