A reasonable
person would conclude that the Museum's new Genocide Prevention Task
Force would be very interested in what I have to say.
Certainly
Israeli Military Intelligence at the Israeli Embassy in Washington DC are also
no doubt interested while yet to respond to my having complied with their
request to be “CLEAR” and “SHORT” with my questions that focuses exclusively on
their competency and integrity.

little of how little discussion, on the subject of why the filthy rich Nazi
German Jewish Lazarus clan had so much influence over both our again, American

Ernest Slotar of Slotar Inc., far down the totem pole from Codiam Inc. at the
very top; the whole scene, me going “back and forth” to Ernest who took forever
to finally wakeup and purchase the fricken diamond, so extraordinarily
laughable, unless of course one understands that going to war with DeBeers is a

had to even work in the first place?
Both my
mother and her father as well as her father-in-law Issy Gevisser thought
everyone other than me in my immediate and extended family were as dumb as my
father’s elder brother Julius Gevisser and their first male cousins, David and
Leslie Gevisser which is almost impossible to imagine given how extraordinarily
dumb Julius, David and Leslie Gevisser were, relatively speaking of course, when
say compared to my very brilliant mother and her father who of course was also
raised by Nechie Badash for good reason the most trusted Jewish person in the
world who could be counted on not even for “love of country” to sell out her children or grandchildren beginning with
my highly deceptive mother.
And of course
I am just beginning to spell it all out in “black and white” and why one of the

mother on October 10th, 1948, less than 3 months before my Royal
Mater would begin visiting Israel while still 19 years of age, two and three
times a year, writing reports for different publications, apart from the

Badash was an early resident of Tel-Aviv, Israel, only returning to England in
1929 when my mother, Zena, “Born to perform” was born on May 30th,

father in the event there was a need for a “second wave” of Jewish
fighter-bomber-pilots whose mission in the event Israel was not successful in
holding back the Arab nations, backed to the hilt by both the British and
American ruling elite, again without any loyalty to country or religion but a
common goal in getting rid of every independent thinking Jewish person on the
planet, was to waste no time in bombing the headquarters of DeBeers in Johannesburg
and in the same instant DeBeers’ Central Selling Organization in the heart of
downtown London, England.

I’m sorry you took my message as dismissive. I did not intend
such a tone to be conveyed. I suppose I should have simply said that I’m
not familiar with the history you are describing rather than qualifying that
I’m not a historian. Working at the Museum I have learned a lot about
Holocaust history, and some about Jewish history, but do not consider myself
any sort of expert. Given that my job is fundraising, I often find myself
referring more detailed inquiries along to other colleagues. As for the
article you sent, I haven’t had a chance to read the chapter that you sent to
me, but I hope to in the near future.
The area that I am much more proficient in is helping folks like
you to understand how your contribution can help the Museum continue its work
on the issue of Darfur, educating teachers, or the host of other major
initiatives that we undertake. If you can share with me what you are
hoping to achieve in having contacted us in the first place, besides supporting
the Museum, I can try to direct you to folks who will have a better grasp on

I am a little confused, first about how very quickly you are to dismiss a rather important meeting between the head of the world’s only superpower at the time and the US tyrant sitting atop the world’s largest proven reserves of oil.

BTW, do you have any thoughts of the meeting back on February 14th, 1945 between President Roosevelt and Ibn Saud, right after the Yalta Conference that you may recall began two days following the Red Army liberating Auschwitz on February 2nd?
My father was an Allied Fighter Bomber Pilot during World War II.
His first mission following the start of the Yalta Conference on February 4th, 1945 took place on February 6th.
Below is photocopy of one page of his logbooks.
Andres, you will notice that on this 24th mission, my dad who was 21 at the time, flew as No. 2 to Syd Cohen who would later take over from Modi Alon as Commander of Israel’s only squadron during the War of Independence following the death of Alon.
I must now run.
BTW I am having a high speed Internet satellite dish installed this morning at our rock home here in the Cleveland National Forest. I'm not familiar with John Dau, although I'm sure that my colleagues in the Cmte on Conscience are. I will have to ask how Brian prefers to be contacted in situations like this. Obviously a couple of my colleagues have more of a direct line, but this isn't something that Brian prefers we share publically. I'll have to let you know what they suggest.
Our relationship wiht Brian has been for several years now since he first started to speak openly about his experiences in Darfur. In fact, I believe the Museum was his first major venue presenting his pictures and story publically. I think that point was referenced in the film if I'm not mistaken.
Also, I should tell you that tomorrow, the Museum is holding a press conference with Madeline Albright and William Cohen, who are chairing the Museum's new Genocide Prevention Task Force. We're partnering with the American Academy of Diplomacy and the US Institute for Peace, the first time either group has come together around this question. Over the next 15 months, this group will be studying the question of how the various levels and bureaucracies of goverment can and should respond to threats of genocide. They are considering this from the perspective of the higher level experts in the State Dept, military, congress, etc. because the reality is that those people that will make decisions about how information about particular events get passed along through the channels of communication. Stay tuned for press articles about this Task Force as it's bound to be well covered. I must say that as a Museum employee for 14 years, this is a very exciting steps toward the notion of "never again." Part of me believes that "never again" is unachievable, but we can't stop working toward it, and this Task Forces is a very innovative new step in that direction.

I am deep in the Cleveland National Forest about an hour's drive from Del
Mar, California which is my and my French-Canadian wife's official residence
in the US.
I am using a wireless internet connection which is much stronger than my
cell phone and so long as the internet connection lasts I would like to
continue this dialogue via the internet, but please give me your telephone

I would also like you to put me in direct contact with Brian Steidle who
came across in his documentary as genuinely concerned as well as not in the
least bit naïve, certainly towards the end of the movie although I was
having very serious doubts when he was interviewing on elderly Sudanese
gentleman.
I apologize for going in to such detail but I only saw "The Devil Came On
Horseback" last evening and it is fresh in my mind.
BTW have you had any contact with John Dau, a leader of the Lost Boys of the
Sudan - John was featured in the movie "God Grew Tired of US?"

the Executive Director of the Museum is Sara Bloomfield.
It happens that the Museum has been working for four years, perhaps before
most organizations, on the issues of genocide in the Darfur region of Sudan.
As part of the Museum's creation, a "Committee on Conscience" was formed to
address actual or potential threats of genocide. Of course, the idea was
that there can be no greater legacy from the Holocaust than to help inform
and inspire future generations to act sooner when genocide threatens. Here

You asked about "The Devil Came on Horseback." I have not seen the movie,
but we did work with a local theater to feature the film recently. We also
have a very close relationship with Brian Steidle who is featured in the
movie.
Regarding your contribution, you should know that there are very substantial
funding needs within the Committee. Virtually all of the programs,
outreach, exhibitions, student conferences, etc. that they do is funded
through private contributions. In fact, this is the way much of the
Museum's educational outreach functions. So you can imagine that we're very
pleased to talk further about how best to direct contributions. I would be
happy to help guide you as you are ready for further conversations.

The size of the gift is very "substantial".
It would come from me personally despite the fact that I come from one of
the "money power" families if not the "money power" family in the world,
although the first sense I had of my immediate family's wealth was their
priceless land holdings in Haifa harbor, Israel well prior to the outbreak
of World War II.
I first of all want to be put in touch with the very top officials of the US
Holocaust Memorial Museum officials and just giving me their names right now
would be suffice.
Second, I am a "person of conscience" - the name Gevisser means "certain" in
German and "Gewissen" is conscience.
Consequently, I want to know what if any position the US Holocaust Memorial
Museum takes with regard to the genocide that has been taking place in the
Sudan.
