George,

I assume this communication just like what we discussed when we first met will be communicated to the owner.

Tu repeat I see no reason for u and I to find ourselves negotiating “with ourselves” when the two principals, i.e. the owner and Marie could be doing a “sweetheart” deal, i.e. lets keep the testosterone from getting in the way of Marie+I having another love nest, but then again I understand sumwhat the nature of your business, perhaps a little better than the average, “Joe Bow” who has allowed his formal education to interfere with his learning.

U had commented that the cost of carpet and cleanup would be “around $8,000”, the place quite filthy for someone not living there and of course everyone who has not done wrong should be allowed to “save face” errors all built into the “change” as in ▲, no such thing as a perfect circle, at least mathematically speaking, and change u would certainly agree, builds character.

With that said, I have suggested to Marie that she stick with paying no more than $x per month without the owner replacing the existing carpet but that whoever is responsible for the mess do the necessary “pick up.”

Gary
