Dear Mary,

My wife Marie and I met you yesterday at the Chinese consulate.

Below is an itinerary that this travel agent who we have never used before came up with bearing in mind that we have had a couple of disconnects with her that have not been resolved to our satisfaction.

We liked what you described to us in terms of that spot with all the islands and would really appreciate your input on how to make the most of this 24 day trip bearing in mind we would not only like your thoughts on which places to visit and how best to get there bearing in mind we arrive on June 18th into Beijing and leave on July 11th out of Hong Kong back to the States but also your thoughts on where we should stay.

Marie right now is looking in Fodor's book and the itinerary there for 21 days would be roughly 3 or 4 days in Beijing, Xian - 3 days, the 3 gorges - 3 days and that would be the trip to Wuhan, Nanging - 2 days, Hangzhou - days, Suzhou - 2 days, Shanghai - 2 days and then the rest in Hong Kong.

But we are very open to anything that you think including doing something all together different, way off the "beaten tourist trap".

Marie is now saying there is another trip to south China which is what I thought you first brought up.

So I will now sign off.

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Gary
