Finding you a literary agent might be tough:
Let's break it down - I think you do need a little help with
finding an "agent". And I think you do need more than just a
little help with the part about "literary".
I think you will need a sample chapter that is intriguing and
compelling and does not take 42 detours for every point you wish to make.
From my own reactions and the reactions I have read from others that you have
shared, I think your style is best described as exhausting. And often does more
to help people miss the point than get it.
I have been reading along for quite some time now. and I dare say
without equivocation that if you were on trial for telling a story in a
succinct and attractive way, I do not think I would be able to point out enough
evidence to convict you. Even the most determined prosecutors might
give up. I sense you might have more of a challenge on this point
than you are willing to admit (which means there will be no conviction by
confession either).
I am willing to help you with the sample chapter. Once
polished and stylistically acceptable to both you and the rest of this world -
we can shop for that agent - but that might take quite a while. If you already
have the acceptable and neatly packaged sample chapter -- let me know and I'll
feel better about the probability of success. Without that, if you are
already shopping, then that's a wonderful picture of
This is my example of somewhat succinctly making a few
points. Can you write back in a similar manner?
Please remember - I am your friend and I am trying to help.
