I’m assuming that she is my age only because she is operating things with her brother as opposed to a spouse… but what she says is very wise and I think that she has a good head on her shoulders and would be a good person to have in your life or anyone’s for that matter. She seems optimistic, so optimistic that her naiveté shows but it kinda connects with something I was thinking about earlier today… We become what people expect of us. When a teacher pushes a student and accepts only excellence, the student is forced to fight or flight. When I play tennis (although very rare now-a-days) I always play better when my opponent is better than me. Codependency from my understanding is the same thing… and I’m sure there are other parallels as well. What I’m getting at is that she looks for the good in the world which is a wonderful attribute and the good finds her as well. If the whole world could look at life the same, the world would be a better place. Unfortunately the minority always has to F’ it up for the majority. Being cynical, I expect bad and hope for good… it helps prevent disappointment, but I bet you she is a happier person than me.

As for your response, seemed short winded for the effort and thought that she put into writing you, but I imagine that is why you asked me to comment on your response as well. You give me puzzle pieces but often without the box lid to see what I’m supposed to do with it. One day it will all make sense, I have no doubts.

Here they are

Takings...

Payments:..

Well the end of the season has arrived. The winds are changing and the leaves are turning. Summer has been officially rained out until next year. And with a new season comes a new challenge. To better what we have already accomplished, just the two of us.Still, next season is still several dreams away.

While Bryan and I find ourselves facing a selection of choices, all with their benefiting opportunities, we know that these brief moments, here in Minehead, will be our last together until next season, should this be where we meet again.

I myself have chosen staying here in England over going home to a world I no longer recognize. Bryan, as he last told me, plans to cross the Sahara on a camel. Despite our winter selections, we would both like to see this opportunity through. We no know what this cafe and ourselves are capable of. I am currently working on a business plan for next season which if you would like, i will propose to you after the season end. I am wondering however, what your plans are for the property over the course of the winter. I am moving to Taunton come November but could still check on the place, attend to mail etc if you wanted.

Our parents have planned a trip to see us and will be arriving just as we close, the first week of October. Bryan and I will then have a few weeks to show them England, including Bath. They have also arranged a small celebration get away for the four of us to Southern France and Portugal. As you can imagine, like you, they are proud of what we have accomplished. There is no doubt in my mind that things will only get better for all involved.

As for your e-mail, i have taken my time in reply as I had it printed and took the time to read it a few times and try to swallow what I could. I do agree that it can take only one person to make a difference. And although your tactics are not that which i would choose, it is in the end for the better. I agree that G-D is within all of us, however that it is a combination of my self belief, inspiration, morals and love that create my G-D. Each to his own in this aspect. Life, as i see it, is like you say, one big circle. What goes around, does come around. I have know this longer than most of my wisdoms and I hold it very dear. The difference, that I can see, between you and I, Gary, is while you are going after those who have already got theirs coming, I focus on those individuals unsure of how the circle works. I start with the good in everyone in hopes to keep them good. There is hope for everyone, whether they can  see it or not.

I am not going to pretend to understand the corruption of the rich, those at the top who would seem to sell their soul to stay there rather than face the fact that there is more to life than how much you have at the end. In my views, all that makes a soul rich is wisdom, the ability to share your wisdom, appreciation, patience, love, understanding and the ability to learn from our mistakes, as no one is perfect. I am here to pass on my knowledge and to learn as much as I can. One thing I am sure of in this world is that you can only expect to get what you give. I make an effort to radiate only positive into this world and although I have had negativity try to make it's impression, at the end of the day, it has all been for the better. For the good. This cafe has proven to be for the better of Minehead and it's people that frequent it. They now think healthier, look healthier and most importantly wear a smile much bigger th an those they wore or in some cases were missing in the beginning. To me, however small a change it is, it is more than I could have hoped for. To make a difference, to make a change for the better. And it is just the beginning. I believe in myself, in Bryan, all of those I have met and even more importantly, all of those I have yet to share my wisdom with.

will be in touch soon and will have bryan call you as you had requested. Keep your head up and I hope all is well for you, Marie and the kids.
