Well written, focused, and to
the point.
I over heard someone bragging during lunch of how she had tricked the guy at
the book store to take back a book that she had read so that she could buy a
new book with its proceeds. Its no wonder that we are on this path, we have
been teaching it to our children through our actions; I have no doubt that she
would have not even understood how that is the same thing as putting something
in her purse and walking out without paying for it. She was so excited; it made
my skin crawl and took effort for me not to say something.
A male peacock has colorful feathers and a ritual dance that it must perform in
order to compete for its mate. Until now, all of evolution has been based upon
the foundation of survival of the fittest, and competition to breed
improvement. Have we maxed out our potential under current conditions? We
modeled our civilizations on this premise, and our problems are the indirect
result of this foundation.
