Sticking up for the Fair

I disagree with Joe Azzinaro’s letter about how he hopes the San Diego County Fair is moved somewhere else. He mentioned maybe Qualcomm would make more sense. I had to respond to this because I couldn’t disagree more. I have lived in Del Mar for almost seventeen years and I look forward to the Fair every year. He’s right about how we Del Martians hate the extra traffic, but that traffic wouldn’t stop if the fair moved. There is still the horse racing and the tourism through Olde Del Mar during the summers. As a young person, I think it would be a bad idea to move the location of the fair since it is one of the very few activities we can do in Del Mar that doesn’t involve drugs, alcohol, or weapons, if we make that choice. I don’t want to hear anything about the fair changing locations....it just makes me red.
