Subject: Cell Phone Fraud

I wish to report that someone-s is using my cell phone number 1-858-735-6398 as their caller id.

They are not only able to call me on my cell phone with my number appearing in the display but when calling third parties they are now leaving the same threatening-abusive messages.

I have reported this to Verizon, my cell phone service provider, who say that they have traced one call to a landline but that it is impossible for them to find out any more information, suggesting that I consider changing my cell phone number which of course simply empowers the offender-s.

The last person to receive a threatening call with my cell phone number appearing on their display was a woman with the cell phone number 858-XX-XXX who when calling me back, thinking I was the person who had left the threatening message, was rather outraged, threatening to report to me to the San Diego Police as well as the FBI and even after I explained what I thought was happening she was not totally convinced I was telling the truth and of course I cannot be certain that this woman was in fact truthful.

An interesting situation wouldn’t you agree?
