People I know

I don’t know if any of you has received an e-mail similar to the one I have received below. If you have not good for you and should you receive it in the future, do not follow it’s instructions, it’s a SPAM. When I received it, I picked up suspicious things about it.

1.       It’s from BetteBroschuk at Standard Bank, who or what the heck is BetteBroschuk

2.       Banks will normally say Dear Standard Bank Customer and not Dear Standard Bank Member

3.       A bank will address an e-mail directly to you if they require confidential details, this should have read dear Me or at least used both my initials and surname.

4.       The e-mail does not bear the names confidentiality claim of the bank, and it does not guarantee confidentiality of information processed

5.       A bank’s url should be straight forward, in this case it should have been https:www.standardbank.co.za, everything else after that is routing you to hell

6.       The e-mail should also bear a telephone, get it telephone not cell phone, number where you can call to query or complain if you don’t want to send your information via e-mail. Most likely to be an 0800 number with a normal line as an alternative.

As you can see from the e-mail, I have BCC’d all of you except one fool, this is to avoid having all of you responding to strangers when you respond to me, which I think is very polite if you are going to be sending an e-mail to a group of people who don’t know each other. Anyway the fool I have CC’d above is more likely to be one of the fools who come up with such SPAMS, I have never met him nor do I know him, but he keeps on sending me e-mails that talk about nothing. Ever since he started sending me e-mails, I have been getting funny e-mails leading to me been very alert of spams, and when I received this e-mail I knew the monkey had pushed his luck. So if receive e-mails from this creature, please delete without opening.

Kind regards

Me
